I have never had any interest in watching women’s football before but have found myself getting properly drawn into this as the tournament has gone on

You do tend to be one of those big ocassion type people when it comes to these types of major sporting events. I have barely watched it myself as I struggle to watch any type of internation football outside of the men's world cup and euros. I am watching a bit more AFCON than other stuff though.

Ciao Valentia Giacinti. Your girl next door look meant I fancied you more than any other player in the tournament. I will miss you in the semi final. Although there is always Alex Morgan from the US team....

The USA team have that sense of toughness about them that’ll likely be too much for England.

They are a team of athletes as Scott said on the BBC last night, but they ally that with skill and nous.

I get the feeling ours are happy to be in the semi, without really believing they can win it, although they’ve improved with each game. Have to really improve defensively against the US.

Winner of the game wins the tournament I think.

The stupidity of the new way of dealing with offisides in full effect there.

Däbritz could have injured herself trying to stretch and control that cross, yet the flag went up so late it would have happened before the whistle.
