Its difficult when all the top coaches gravitate towards men's football because that's where the money is.

Their striker or the best player in the world is out with injury,  that could explain it. According to Wiki she has scored 144 goals for Lyon in 117 matches.

She has said no to the Norwegian national team after some problems with the coach, so she misses out on a few awards because she doesnt compete at the World Cups etc.

"For the first time at a major tournament, England are using apps to monitor their menstrual cycles to ensure they're at peak performance."

Is it to ensure all the players give their blood, sweat and tears for the cause?

Republic of Ireland women: FAI and manager Pauw apologise for players' IRA chant after play-off win

The Football Association of Ireland and the Republic of Ireland women's team manager Vera Pauw have apologised for a pro-IRA chant sung by players after the World Cup play-off win over Scotland.

Video emerged of the Republic of Ireland women singing a pro-IRA chant following the World Cup play-off.

"We apologise from the bottom of our hearts to anyone who has been offended by the content of the post-match celebrations," said Pauw.

Pauw added there could be "no excuse".

"We will review this with the players and remind them of their responsibilities in this regard," continued the Republic of Ireland boss.

"I have spoken with players this morning and we are sorry collectively for any hurt caused."
