I was absolutely bricking it before kickoff probably because of how recent finals have gone for us, at full time I was made up absolutely delighted but it didn't feel as good as Istanbul for some reason I'm not sure why I can't put my finger on it, it's almost like the hard work was already done against Barcelona  by the way the fact that ''slobbering goon" is getting a lot of focus on twitter is fucking hysterical.

I've just had a thought. I think everyone agrees that pedigree matters in Europe. If you had stuck the 2005 Liverpool team in Everton jerseys, Milan would have won in a canter. With that in mind, did Spurs do Liverpool a favour by knocking out Ajax?

We looked so sluggish at times I did wonder myself if the young bucks of Ajax might have given us some trouble.

Just watched the Inside Madrid video and realised that Dave hadn't commented on all those plastic flags.  They must have been "single use" ones as I only saw them when the teams came out at the start!

They must have been supplied by the club, mustn't they? I haven't seen anything about it though. Sh*tty plazzy flags and we're waving our giants masts.

Okay, I'm ready to say it: this is better than Istanbul. I mean, the winning of it wasn't better, but the experience since the winning of it has been  incredible. I was just talking to a lad in work about it and he mentioned how he had five different DVD's about Istanbul and had to wait months for them to go onstream. Nowadays you can gorge on it 24/7, and lordy have I gorged on it.

I know someone who works for Spurs. They were supplied by the Club because they thought the stadium would be overwhelmed by our banners and they needed to compete on some level.

It feels pompous and arrogant to gloat at this but we are better than anyone else in this field.

Ironically it made them look massively small time and shows up their fans.

Attenborough will be going ape with all that plastic waste as well!

Saw a press tweet that said they’d questioned the stadium why they’d laid out flags in the Spurs end but not Liverpool, and were told that ‘Liverpool will bring The Kop’ and they wanted both ends to have flags.

I've been lucky to see us win all 6 but this one means the most to me. When we won the first 4 we had a great team that was used to winning and it was sort of expected. Number 5 was more of a relief for me, one of our greatest nights dont get me wrong, but being honest I never felt we would push on from there.

This is why I feel this one is so important, the whole club is on the verge of something special and this was just the start. This group of players is capable of writing it's own glorious history and it's great to be back in the big time.
