Starts 9th August....La Liga for example starts a week later - Serie A two weeks later.

 

Not sure why this is case but certainly an argument that maybe PL could start later and it would help.

Yep, totally forgot he started, although only one or the other. I can't see Gomez and Matip starting many games at the same time. Hopefully we don#t see Gomez playing RB too often, TAA is far better imo.

It's the same for all teams mate, as far as our league goes. As far as the CL goes other leagues have busy programmes at different times. Some less due to size of league, but we are a major team, in fact Champion league holders....we have and will have to overcome certain obstacles.

Watched him a bit on the back e d of last year. Dont think he's close to being a able back up myself. Without set pieces he would have half the goals he did.

Opinions mate, I think he could do a job in certain games, especially when you realise he'd have far better players around him. We aren't Derby with a green back manager.

Decent game especially at this late hour. Conditions are poor and pitch is terrible. I feel we'll miss our proper attacking talent more than all our opponents until we go to France. All good

Indeed. Plus talking about green back managers....my previous post...I see Chelsea lost against some crap Chinese team. They more or less played the majority of their starting 11.

Yeah. Remember it was him who played reus in for their 3rd a few years back. Beautiful ball in behind Clyne it was.

For me we may as well keep Wilson around for next season - it's another option/potential cover and given extra demands next season like Club World Cup lark would rather have option than not.

Wilson will never make it here as an attacker, he doesn't have the pace or end product. It would have to be as a midfielder or a #10.

Midfield started to get hold of the ball towards the middle of that half, looked like they’d get over run early on, defence looked well off the pace early on too but grew into the game as it went on.
