You think? I reckon it's been really bad since he's been about.

Your point makes sense & I think it's been a contributory factor but the songs were going that way in the late 90s/early 2000s.

I grew up hearing he Rangers song to the same tune as Poor Scouser Tommy & couldn't believe how fast The Kop sung it when I went in there for the first time in 1992. It's been more like a rap than a song for as long as I can remember it.

Wankers

On the battlefield at Barcelona
Where most of the fighting was done
A Rangers supporter lay dying
Shot by an old Spanish gun

As he lay on the battlefield dying
With the blood pouring down from his head
As he lay on the battlefield dying
He turned to his comrade and said

Altogether now the cry was No Surrender

I meant The Sash bit & was talking about the tempo rather than the lyrics.

From memory Celtic sing a song to the same tune and their tempo is much slower too.

I've never heard Celtic sing anything like it (Might have just missed it) to be honest

you can never have the atmosphere in the squad - that is much more important than winning something with a squad with 40 players.

Erm, wait, what!?

Having a good atmosphere in the squad is more important than winning something?

We all love him and as time goes on it becomes more obvious that he is a great person as well as a great manager . I am just going to enjoy next two or three seasons cause the way it is going the only thing keeping me interested and engaged is his presence. I suspect I will give up on the Premiership at that stage and become a rabid Germany supporter.
