Serious Incident in Sheffield.

What actually happened?

I don't think anyone knows for sure, the local press has been busy but vague so far. It's an isolated incident, there were rumours earlier of a "terror incident" but that seems to be racist bullshit.

Seems a bit odd , police have arrested the mum and dad but neighbours say she is 'lovely' and was telling people the day before that the kids were really poorly and they were expecting a late night looking after them.

She may have been the one who made them 'poorly.'

It would probably help with the rumors and social media if the police actually said anything, instead of clouding the incident in mystery.

Doubtful. Even if they released a statement about reducing speculation you'd still get millions of criminal investigators concluding the case without any insight.

I for one believe they were a consequence of scientology.

It's fairly obvious it was a botched attempt of alien abduction.

The point of having a press conference is to tell the public basic information, it is obvious they know the nature of injuries if the children are being treated, they are treated for something, if they reacted to quell the rumor it was firearms, they can say it's not blunt objects, or gas leak, if they are limiting the investigation to the family, they know why they are doing that. This is just ridiculously secretive, and is probably needlessly making the closest community go crazy.

People could always try not being a bunch of nosey bastards.

We are talking about some kind of family tragedy, a serious incident, two children dying and three more being in the hospital, with absolutely no information of hints as to what happened, other then the parents were arrested. Nosy bastards?

I think they are probably just mindful that there will be a trial at the end of it and so are scared of saying the wrong thing, I’ve no idea though as I haven’t really followed this and don’t know what’s been said.

You've just managed to follow it in its entirety. Nothing else has been said.

You're right, how can we go on with our lives without knowing what's happened here?

Personally, I'll cope. We'll find out when we find out. In the meantime, the filth have stated that there is no danger to the wider public.

I'm more interested in why Mook is trying to throw us all off the scent...

Been travelling anywhere of late, lad?

Last time I was in Sheffield was for an Oasis gig (believe it or not) circa 1996.

I did think about strangling one of my kids when he launched a sausage at the cat earlier though.
