When is Violence Justified?

I'm only going off what he was admitted to hospital for and his attorneys words.

Fair enough mate. I’m skeptical. These fellas are little more than racist grifters, fascist cheerleaders. I don’t think it’s beyond them to exaggerate the situation (for profit).

Do you really have no issue with what happened in that video?

It’s a bit uncivilised, but this is not a normal time. I’m happy that we have people organising and getting out on the streets to fight against fascism - physically as well as rhetorically

I understand your point but mob rule from any side is very unsettling. I do hope the backlash against the person being run over during that demonstration(I believe they died?) a while back was as strong as the condemnation of these 'socialists' though?

I mean, let’s put it into perspective. Fascists are literally murdering people, going out looking for violence, attacking minorities, being racist etc etc - “Antifa” exist simply in opposition to that, and they punch a few people and throw milkshakes and silly string. There’s no equivalence

Well, if the far right Proud Boys are heading into Portland or anywhere looking for a dust-up and then get their arses handed to them by a bunch of leftie snowflakes, it's all good.

Precisely

That guy, to my knowledge, hadn't murdered anybody. From what I've read briefly of his work, he hasn't advocated murdering people or attacking a minorities. He seemed like he was attacked by a mob. Unless I'm mistaken somewhere?

If Antifa are not going out looking for violence, why do they wear bandanas and hoodies to obscure their faces?

He edits far right propaganda rag quilette, his work supposedly contributed to journalists being put on literal nazi kill lists, his racist rhetoric and targeting of CAIR Oregon (centre of American Islamic relations) led to them receiving death threats. He’s a fascist cheerleader, which is an inherently violent thing to be. He was given a black eye for his troubles and has now made hundreds of thousands of dollars from morons who donated to him out of sympathy. Doesn’t sound much like a victim to me
