Biden is just more of the same Democrats - rich old white guy from party machine. Warren is just running to spoil Sanders and will probably get the VP ticket.

Trump will thrash him, every tweet will be Biden, crook, Ukraine, bribes.

4 more fucking years of Trump.

Doomed, were all doomed.

I reckon Biden has a better chance of beating Trump actually. The Ukraine stuff is a non-starter as Trump can’t go on about it without it bringing up his own impeachment activities.

Elizabeth Warren is a better candidate than Bernie for me. Better left credentials, anti-wall street, got shit done to help the poor, links to the Obama administration which is popular with democrats and in general, actual member of the Democratic Party.

But a lot of the Bernie bros are a bit too blinkered to go for her it seems. Looks like a great result for Trump the Super Tuesday shit going down so far.

Polls show that Sanders has a better head to head against Trump than either Warren or Biden.

Trump just uses the same shite against Biden as he did against Clinton. Plus Biden has been terrible in the debates and the thought of him up against Trump is scary.

Warren has got no change of the nomination, especially after the results tonight. Looks like third in her own state.

Sanders voted against all the terrible trade deals that cost American jobs and he does very well in the rust belt, which would cut off some of the Trump attacks.

Seems like a very good night for the Biden campaign, so far.

The election system is already open - the two party primaries are obviously not.

I can tell you from experience my vote for Perot (supporting the idea of a third party) did not cost Clinton the election.

But I would not have voted for Bush. So....

I meant fair, and I don't think it is when Republicans and Democrats control the debate system.

Looks like the media attacks on Bernie and candidates dropping out and supporting Biden just before today have really had an effect too. I think Biden will be a complete nightmare of a candidate if they choose him and don't think his chances look good at all when it comes to beating Trump either.

Yeah, I know Warren has no chance, I just thought on the measurables she should have been a better candidate than the Bern.  Mind you, I thought Kamala Harris or Cory Booker should have been better as a centre candidate than Biden really too.

Biden is actually better versus Trump than Bernie on polling I think.  Just by a smidgen so not really that it makes much difference.

If Bernie wins Texas and California it will be ideal for Trump you'd think.  Democrats split in half, with vocal minorities on either side saying they'll refuse to vote for the other one in the general election.

You are correct, the average for Berine is 5% points and for Biden is 5.4%, due to his recent bump.

Biden won Texas, which is huge for both campaigns.

It seems most peoples priority is beating Trump and that gave Biden a huge surge. The narrative from the majority of pundits and DMC leaders is Biden is electable and Sanders is not, despite the polling, it ultimately becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

I believe that Biden would just be a rerun of 2016 and Trump would destroy him on the debates and at the election.

Sanders would beat Trump from the populist left and counter the populist right arguments/lies of Trump.

Obviously I am bias, so a lot of people will see the exact opposite.

As you say, the Democrats are now going to entrench themselves into their groups and it will be interesting to see how they attack each other going forward.

The debates between Biden and Sanders will be interesting, in relation to who is best to go against Trump.

One thing’s for sure, we’re going to miss Red Phoenix when he fucks off again in December and the forum will be worse off for it until he magically reappears in 3 years time.

What, because I'll be going mad about Biden?

I don't think so. Am fairly relaxed in thinking that Trump will devour him, so I have a bit of a numb and depressed feeling right now. I think the Dems have seriously fucked up this time, but as long as they don't have a socialist in the Whitehouse a far-right loon like Trump is hackable.

If Biden wins this primary I'm sure that's going to be fun. He genuinely looks like he's losing the plot due to age and has been struggling to speak properly in every single debate I've seen. You can't compete with Trump in debates in that state.

The only solution is that the US public doesn't give a fuck and will just vote him in anyway to keep Trump out. But I think Biden is known as a "gaffe machine", things will probably get gradually more and more insane as the spotlight is on him.

It's pathetic really, how hollow and stupid the Dem Party has actually become. But we can't be having socialism. Same shit, different day. If AOC thinks she can run a proper campaign inside that joke in 4 years time (if she runs) maybe she's completely deluded as well. And maybe Bernie has been deluded all along for staying with them and trying this whole circus run again.

Don't be surprised if Trump has 4 more years.

On the other hand Biden spent something like 1/100th of what Bloomberg spent and 1/7th of Bernie on his campaign.

So quite promising that capital is not quite the kingmaker in the home of capitalism.

Good news for future scrappy upstart social democrats!

I meant more in the sense that you come alive around the time of US elections. Like a moth to a flame.

Agreed that I went fairly mental during the last one, I'd like to think I'm in a better place than back then though when it comes to going mad about US elections. And it's not like we'll have Wikileaks making things so much more interesting this time around either. I think I've started to realise more about how pathetic so much of it truly is and it becomes a lot less interesting at that point.

If Bernie was up against Trump I'd obviously like that, but can't see much of an interest in Biden vs Trump.

I think the endorsements helped him in a big way just before this round of voting. Am not saying he has no real support though, he does seem to be popular in some states for whatever insane reason.

I quite like Warren , but she was a Republican for most of her life and has has only become even remotely left-wing in the last few years. She also made a mistake when the polls turned against her in watering down her offering on healthcare and grandstanding by shunning Sanders' handshake. This left her alienating her socialist support without attracting compensatory support from the Biden/Buttegieg/Klobuchar voters.

The most important thing for the overall campaign is what Warren does next. I suspect she will fall in behind Biden , Bernie will be toast and Biden will debate like he is on mogadon and get battered by Trump. I hope Sanders is on the phone to Warren as we speak offering her VP.

I never would have imagined that as soon as Bernie was shitcanned by the voters, RP would be on here spouting Trump talking points about Biden being senile, gaffe prone etc.

I still think it's a race for who will lose to Trump, if his approval rating remains this high. As for who is a stronger challenger, logically, I don't see why would someone who actually voted for Trump now decide to back Sanders it's just incomprehensible to me that you go for Trump and four years later for the ideological polar opposite. Polls are polls, it's all about 2 or 3 key states in the presidential election.

If you look at votes already cast for Pete and Klobuchar and if the winner of Samoa decides to quit, it looks like a possible landslide for Biden, even if all Warren voters join Sanders.

I think Bloomberg will drop out this week (as he should, he has been surprisingly bad in personal appearances and debate) and Warren will follow shortly thereafter.

May not need the Donald , Joe is doing well enough on his own.

So because Trump also said what many on the left are saying we should be delusional and pretend he's fine? Nope. And there was no need to even bring this up until now, it didn't look like he had a chance until his fellow cronies boosted him for Super Tuesday.

Bernie doesn't seem to have increased his support much since last time around, but yet again we have the propaganda from the media, the type of stuff you're clearly not interested in factoring in.

So Bernie just lost voters for some mysterious reason and Biden doesn't appear to have any cognitive issues at all. What you'll see people pointing out is how much Trump will probably wipe the floor with him. Of course people on the left warned about Clinton too, but they went ahead and supported her anyway and look what happened.

And it could all repeat itself again. It's almost like a huge amount of US voters are fucking stupid or something.

Have fun with your new saviour.
