Really is quite something that the presumptive nominee is someone who's actually less coherent than Trump.

I mean fucking hell.

I thought they couldn't pick a shitter candidate than Clinton but they've excelled themselves.

As we can see, the one thing you can rely on is that progressives are going to do Trump's job for him and destroy the Democratic nominee.

Hopefully they will have their fill over the next month or so and then stop repeating what Trump's camp is producing.

Maybe they should think about putting an age limit to the presidency and Senate. They all seem to be in their bastard 70s. Maybe vote for people who have more of a chance of living to see the consequences of their actions or better yet their minds not falling apart whilst having the most powerful role on earth. They should of learnt with Reagan but I guess the presidency can be a useful puppet to an unscrupulous Senate. Trump is the dead cat on the table for the republican party.

Yeah RP, we've seen it all in 2016 when you were Trump's good little soldier too.

Yeah, it's finally dawning on you now that it's Biden I guess and what that could mean. It really tells you something when instead of celebrating Biden's win here and looking forward to the election, so many of his supporters are in oh shit mode and lashing out at others instead.

That's what toxic liberals are best at, blaming anyone but themselves. Fuck Trump and fuck Biden.

If Biden has any working brain cells at all he has plenty of time to change some of his policies to try and attract progressives. That is after all how politicians usually win votes if I remember rightly? By having policies that people they want to vote for them will vote for, not by guilt-tripping and gaslighting.

I don't think it really matters though does it for the elite Dems, the Democratic Party have at least seen off Sanders so the main boogie monster of socialism has been stopped. The rest of what happens from here on out is just the usual circus.

Four more years of Trump.

Would have been anyway. If Bernie had won the nomination the Democrat establishment would have put as much energy into sabotaging his campaign as they have into fighting any Republican.

Seeing as I've got this a few hours after Biden won which is a bid odd really as I've not read anything like this in this thread until now : I'm not going to be railing against Biden like I was Clinton four years ago.

Back then I thought a lot of people weren't that aware of how bad she was and it bugged me how people ignored the leaks and so on. This time around I don't want anything to do with going through that type of shit again and arguing with about a dozen people half the time for months on end.

And let's face it, Biden is clearly a bad candidate and there's little convincing of anything needed. I've accepted for the last month or so that Sanders had lost and I've rarely posted back here. What Sanders announced today wasn't a shock at all to me either and more of a formality. I'm relaxed about it and have accepted it.

I'll post every so often like others will to have a few digs at both Trump and Biden, apart from that though not interested. All that shit last time around really took its toll and I was pretty ill with anxiety too which made it a whole lot worse, I don't need to go back there again.

And this time around I have a PS4 with plenty of good games I can play on instead of raving about mental centrists against Trump for a second election running. I'm only saying incase anyone thought I'd be at it again. No, not worth it.

That's some proper cognitive dissonance. Bernie Sanders is getting about 25%  of Democrat votes on average, the rest would sooner vote for a cardboard cutout of a politician than Bernie. As a result, fucking Joe Biden, the weakest of the weak Democratic candidates wipes the floor with Bernie. Nobody to the right of Democrats would vote for Bernie, ever. Democratic establishment would do everything to stop Bernie.

Conclusion: Bernie would beat Trump

I think your post explains what you need.

"Fucking Joe Biden, the weakest of the weak" managed to win partly (I said partly remember) because the "Democratic establishment would do everything to stop Bernie." So I think for you too, "that's some proper cognitive dissonance."

Not that you're going to accept this though, we've already done this in this thread and it lead nowhere. Sanders has only ever been in fair contests and it's all been fair and balanced media coverage but he still managed to lose so badly and it's all on him, ok.

I thought you'd be happy that Sanders had stopped his campaign? Strange to see that you almost seem wound up about it.

Bernie Sanders had a reasonably fair chance, people who vote in Democratic primaries don't want him to be their presidential candidate. He tried and failed. Twice. Why is this so impossible to accept for you?

I'd ask you why it's so impossible to accept the alternative view, where there's so much bias and propaganda, the DNC and almost all candidates aligned against the socialist candidate along with the timed endorsements for Biden and so on. But we're only going to go around in circles so there's no point.

You didn't like Sanders or what he stood for, I did, and we're never going to agree.

It is because they do not share his vision pal. You can squawk all you want about Blue Billionaire and the Arkansas mafia but the Democratic party has nothing to do with Socialism and of course, Bernie Sanders has had very little to do with the Democratic party.
