Lesser-known, older or unappreciated kids movies

Recommended Posts

Throw some at me, y’all.

Baby’s Day Out was a favourite of mine when I was little and I watched it with Turdsette last week. I want to sit down with her and watch some more films away from the really obvious ones like Disney, Pixar, etc. I’m thinking maybe Honey I Shrunk the Kids or Flight of the Navigator this weekend but my memory is awful so I’m probably missing some belters.

The Mighty Ducks what a shout.

Was Beetlejuice a kids film?

Don’t know what it was classed as when it came out but my two oldest nephews love it (aged 7 and 9). Wasn’t sure what age the Turdsette was.

By that rule Nightmare on Elm Street is a PG

Let’s not be hasty. Maybe start her on Blade and work our way up to Freddy Krueger.

She turns six in two weeks. I can keep coming back to this thread though.

Most of them will be alright for her then (seriously though, keep her away from Coraline at that age. But watch it yourself, it’s boss).

Yeah, I’ve seen it mate. We had it on 3D DVD, I think as part of a pair with Monster House, but sold them a few weeks ago. New telly isn’t 3D.
