Best thing about this time of year is that boot season is nearly back. I went to get mine out of the cupboard so I can condition and wax them and realised that I own far too many. I’m up to to two pairs of Chelsea, two pairs of chukka, two pairs of casual dress boots, one pair of brogues, one pair of work boots, two pairs of hiking boots and two pairs of shit quality, 2-season boots. And I don’t have a black pair so need to rectify that

 

I’ve realised that I can’t bring all these out as I take the piss out of the wife for owning too many shoes. Anyone else got a bit of a boot obsession or is it just me?

Picked these up yesterday, bespoke, fit is superb, they are heavy as fuck though at 900g each.

mine drawback of getting made to measure, is you get the vibe for a new pair in winter, but they get delivered in summer due to the length of process - gonna be 35 degrees here tomorrow.

but me and the missus both have lasts with them now so new shoes should be a bit quicker.

After getting a really bad made to measure suit uo HK a few years back, I told the cordwainer to reign me in if I was going a bit too left field with the design, but these have come out looking fucking smart. roll on winter...

I spend a fair bit of time in the woods, so I don't mind spending money on good boots. These were $260 CAD, on clearance.

 

My second pair, having worn a first pair out. A bit heavy, but excellent support and protection. Worth every penny.
