I’ve never heard of Bowling for Soup. I pressed play but immediately wished I hadn’t, as that fella’s voice is awful. I turned it off and googled the lyrics instead. It’s a load of shite, but gets a pass from me on account of the mention of Debbie Harry, well, Blondie.

Haha yeah I only heard it for the first time yesterday, though I had heard the band name before. But it's shit isn't it?

Apparently, that is a cover version. The song was written by SR-71, whoever they might be. I imagine the songwriter to be like the speccy kid in this photograph.
