I was on the Kop the day we won it in '90.

I'll be on my couch 10,000 miles away today.

With as much hope in my heart as a jaded old cunt can muster.

Still as privileged to be a fan of the Reds now, as I was then.

Here's hoping.  And appreciating.

I'm planning to burn my Robbie Fowler t-shirt before the champions League final because I wore it for the last one and consider it cursed. Should I stick with this plan or burn it today in case the curse affects the premier League as well?

Do it.

Woke up at 7am this fine Sunday morning thinking about Liverpool winning the league. Couldn’t get back to sleep. Is it too early to start drinking?

For what it means lads, I actually had a dream about it last night. I never do.

we “were winning the league” when I woke up. I’m not convinced either match has ended, but we were winning comfortably and it was being accepted even by my pessimistic brain that the title was ours.

inwoke up before any trophies were lifted though, and I was also on the verge of getting sacked for being utterly shit at my job.

Had a dream that David Silva scored a header in the first few minutes to put City 1-0. Our game remained 0-0 and we were struggling to break down Wolves. Then Glenn Murray gets an 83rd minute equaliser.......we score a winner in the 94th minute to win the league.

The only problem was it was Gerrard who scored it.

The fact that we could finish the afternoon as Champions feels surreal at this point, because I have no expectation of it happening. Whatever happens, I'll be proud of the boys. What an amazing season.

I'm much the same, I know it's mathematically possible, but I just can't see the possibility of City not being able to beat Brighton.

Just seen ligue 1 table.

Those horrible financially doped to the eyeballs cunts PSG playing in an absolutely garbage league won't get a points total near what either us or city have got.

But are 19 pts clear.

Fucking hell - puts what we have done this season into context, it is insane that we are likely to end up empty handed for such an incredible league campaign.

Yeah, I know it's not happening so there's very little point in me setting myself up for disappointment. Now, if we are leading and they are drawing come 60 minutes... then I'll start shitting myself. Until something actually happens, I'll not bother.

Fuck off, that’s reminded me that the last time I had a replica shirt in a European final season was for 2004-5. I can’t justify both buying one and putting a bet on Spurs.

I'm resigned to them twatting Brighton.

Depressing but it's still been a great season and hopefully we bring big ears home.

Cunt them in the bastard, then bastard them in the cunt.

Get the team leaked.

We're fuckin' shite.

Etc etc.

Last premier league match of the season. Sadness for a few weeks. Let's go out with a bonk.

Yes that's how I feel, I'll still be a bag of nerves though if it starts getting "interesting"!

Since Boxing Day City have dropped 3 points.

And now on a run of 13 wins on bounce and only let in 3 goals in those 13.

I know they are good but there has been a lot of no shows against them, where teams have just curled up in a ball and begged not to be hit too hard.....teams not forcing corners against them, failing to register attempts on goal - fucking league is full of cowards.

For what it's worth (not much) I had a similar dream but woke up before the end. City were losing then equalised whilst we were winning fairly comfortaby (2-0 I think). It felt like it was going to happen...then I woke up too...

Brighton were decent at home earlier in the season, but really not expecting City to do anything other than win especially given their recent form. Whatever though, we've had a fantastic season and we've pushed them all the way. Hopefully we can put on a performance today and enjoy the game.

Maybe putting hope before else that Brighton will feel they have nothing to lose, they are safe now, they don't need to fear but can put on a show.

People are forgetting that City beat them in the FA cup semi final.

They will be well up for it.

That said, we are going to need another footballing miracle for City not to win today.

They've won 13 on the bounce and not conceeded a goal in a month, which was against Palace.

In the words of Delia Smith, 'Footballing gods, where are ya?'
