If you could only watch ten films for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Fuck, thought I'd struggle thinking of 10 seeing as I rarely watch films at the moment. Then I ended up with 10 that I wasn't totally happy with (because 10 wouldn't feel like enough), then another 10 if I could choose 20. Now I'm not sure what films would actually go in the final 10 apart from the first 5 or 6.

They're not all my favourite films ever and surely I've forgot some, it's more about what I'd think of as a decent variation of sci-fi and fantasy films seeing as I'd not get to watch anything else.

The Matrix
Underworld
Dark City
Contact
Ghost In The Shell (1995 anime)
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon

Inception
The Dark Knight
The X-Files: Fight the Future
Avengers Age of Ultron

The other 10 would be something like :

Lord of the Rings 1, 2, 3
A Scanner Darkly
Captain Marvel
Winter Soldier
Doctor Strange
Return of the Jedi
Avatar
The Fifth Element

If it was 20 I'd be reasonably content, 10 I'd be gutted!

Cant rep right now, but Dark City is a fantastic film. Underrated.

Withnail & I

Donnie Darko

Shawshank Redemption

Pulp Fiction

Casino

Platoon

The Matrix

The Empire Strikes Back

The Usual Suspects

Snatch

Theres a bunch of others that could slot into that list on any given day, but right now this is my ten.

Damn, I forgot Withnail and I. My list is already redundant, as that and Spinal Tap should've been on there.

For a few Dollars more.

Once upon a time in the West.

The Goonies

Jackie Brown

Gaslight

Big Trouble in Little China

Mississippi Burning

Unforgiven

The Searchers

The Quiet Man.

Not all necessarily my favourite films. A Lot of Westerns!

I haven't seen a lot of these films. I think I might need to go find a desert island somewhere and pick ten of the films I haven't seen, watch them and jump off a cliff.

That'd be an odd but interesting topic, top 10 films you haven't seen.

Followed by the top ten cliffs you would love to jump off with a camera and a parachute.

Some very good shouts there.

Who's up for piling round to Gruntfuttock's house with some beers and snacks?
