All season long, I've been following the TLW match threads if our game is on Sky and I'm not watching in a pub or at someone else's house. At home I have BT Sport so I've watched all our live games on there. I've watched less live football this season than at any time over the past 20-odd years.

That means I'm straining to follow what's going on when every other post is a "FFS!" or "Cunts!". I wonder how we've managed to concede a goal in that moment, but it ends up being something trivial like giving the ball away in a non-threatening area upfield or not being 5-0 up at half time against one of the league's dregs.

I see plenty of melts being extremely negative and downbeat. To a point I understand it because we have been down the so-near-and-yet-so-far road many times before, there's always that thought that it will go pear-shaped just when we think we're on the cusp of something special. It's just that in these match threads, you'd think we were Huddersfield or somebody equally shit.

Earlier, among the many posts slating Sturridge and/or Lovren, some dickhead posted that they aren't even Championship standard players. After that, another absolute ballbag suggested there are at least a dozen players playing 10 divisions below who could do a better job than those two!

It's not all eye aids on here though. I love the "SALAHHHHH AKHBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR!" posts that Jarv comes out with, and also Stringy's withering "Wind yer bloody neck in!" diatribes at the highly strung posters on here.

Anyway, the game.

It would be great if opponents put this sort of effort in at the business end against whoever we're fighting for the title. In 2009, everybody either laid down against the red Mancs, or whenever they actually had a go, Howard Webb and others were there to put a stop to it. In 2014, the blue Mancs had game after game against teams who were safe from relegation and already on their summer holidays.

The team keep finding a way to overcome adversity that deserves a massive reward of silverware for their efforts. I just wish that reward was actually realised instead of being taken away by teams with an unfair financial advantage, refereeing advantage or others kowtowing to the whims of a knight of the realm.

I expect plenty of whinging in a match thread. People are just venting frustrations half the time. It's post match for me when it gets ridiculous.

What a team. What a manager. What a club.  We are on our last legs fighting like fuck to the bitter end. We refuse to be denied. Tuesday could be very special even by our standards.

We're fucking boss. Mate. Best Liverpool team we have had imo. The points total shows this.

Just watched it on March of the Day, there was some cryarsing about Fab, surprisingly Superdannymurphy put them right about Trent's handball!

My God we're mad bastards, fuck me what a performance, what a season.

And I know he's finished, but kudos to Studge for the backheel leading up to Mo's goal.

Not as clear cut as I first thought, but still a shove and no effort to get the ball. Like I said, they got away with this shite all night.

In fairness to Fabian Schar, he was quickly over to check on Salah. Schar had recently got knocked unconscious and swallowed his tongue while playing for his country so at least he realised that the situation needed to be treated seriously.

That won’t have hit City are hard as I’d like it to, because it wasn’t a meteor or a runaway train, but nonetheless it must have put the shits up them because it had all the signs of this is where it dies and we point blank refused to let it.

At 2-2 when they were pouring it on and looking like they might win it for a spell, I thought if we go on and win this there’ll be shades of those late Fathead headers in injury time the year United finally broke their long wait for the league, where it just feels like it’s gonna happen now.

That must have an impact on City who’ll have been thinking it looked like

job done and now they have to go again.

Well, that was the worst experience of watching a match I’ve had in years.

obviously understandable that we weren’t great, so I’m not particularly aiming at the players at all, but it was just a horrible experience for the majority of it.

until Divock got his head on the winner.

i was surprised, but my reaction as I jumped to my feet in the living room, was actually to cry.

it was the release of pent up emotions.

fucking hell, what I’d give for city to drop points at Leicester.

fucking hell
