Meh, such is life, it was a tough ask and we've shagged it up, it happens.

On to Newcastle.

It wasn't a tough ask though. We are clearly on their level (3 CLEAR chances missed)

The difference is that they have one world class player who makes a difference and we don't

Going to be some proper pricks on here and online.

We were as good if not better for 75mins. A bit of luck with there second and a great freekick(that wall was well over 10 yards back). Poor finishing cost us,

Gomez at right back and Gini leading the diamond were terrible selections. I love Klopp, absolutely don’t want him gone, but neither of those things should ever happen again and especially the former.

Can we do it at home? Sure it’s possible. Will we? Probably not. More than likely those cunts will score one.

We have a few World class players. But Messi is different. World class players just can't deal with him, everything decent they did went through him.

well, we certainly created chances, but tonight, we couldn't finish. A tough ask for us at Anfield to keep them scoreless (and obviously score four !) but this game is about luck as much as it is about skill.

This has got to be the most frustrating season ever. We've had the best season in decades but yet again we come away with fuck all. The worrying part is I doubt we'll be able to perform to this level again.

That’s the thing - barring a sensational one-off run like ours this season, I don’t think anyone can challenge a City squad that has the first and third best teams in the division. In all likelihood, they’ll be the only team that doesn’t have any rebuilding to do in the summer and also the one that improves their squad by the greatest amount. There’s a risk of them becoming England’s Celtic.

For us, I say it’s been a “disappointing” season but that is quite reductive because of how brilliant we’ve been in the league. It’s been great, but disappointing because we’ve had a league season that exceeds most teams in history yet failed to win it and a run to the CL finals culminating in a good performance that turned into a comprehensive loss.

They should be 5-0 up with the shit we served up the last 5-10min. What the fuck is up with that? Keep it tight and try to win at anfield instead of this blitzkrieg suicide that is clearly not working.

The away goal at 3-0 was more important than just seeing it out. The tie was dead without a away gothe game changed with Milner miss and the last salah/Firmino miss just sealed it

Were out, there’s is absolutely no doubt whatsoever about that, the league is gone as well, how the hell we pick ourselves up after this crushing season I have no idea, truly the worst of all disappointments in my life supporting us, just no words, the summer can’t come quickly enough

Sickened. Got the team selection wrong. See the logic but think that's the first time the managers bottled it

Picking a team to suit opposition instead of our own strengths.

Barca is always a tough ask, don't worry about it.

This.

Also I think that free kick was taken at least five yards too far forwards. Possibly ten. Replays will tell, but no one will notice or care. Which is fair enough, we need to score two in that game if we want to win thw thing. We did enough to manage that, but lacked the vital quality from the final pass and finishing.
