One of my all time favourite ever scenes. The sort of scene where you wish if you were in a bar with such a racist nasty bastard you'd do the same to him.

Unfortunately Michael Rooker looks such a mean cunt it wouldn't be me doing it to him

I watched this earlier. 

 

It's a great representation of how horrendous racism was in that era, the film encapsulates this very powerfully. This felt like a 'proper' film which is rarely the case these days (albeit a few such as Hell or Highwater and 3 Billboards). 

 

Hackman was great, he has that charisma that only the elite actors possess, Dafoe was also very good despite me never being a fan of his (Probably because he looks like Gollum crossed with a bag head).

 

I'll definitely check out Hackman's other stuff.

Terrible film, but it has Hackman and Sharon Stones jubblies when they were at the top of their game (the jubblies, not Hackman).

Agree that he's great in this. No one does evil quite like Hackman.

Great scene, this is quality as well.
