Joking aside I do think something needs to be put in place to limit access to hardcore porn from children. It's oh so easy to to access with a simple Google search and IMO there's a big internet skills gap between what teenagers know and what parents of teenagers who might be in their late 40s know to stop this themselves.

That being said I don't think that this current proposal is workable because of VPNs as well as how much porno is out there even on twitter, Reddit, Tumblr etc. I imagine it's been thought up and written by a boomer with the gap I mentioned earlier.

Its killing brain cells.

I think it must profoundly change how young people see sex. I was a "scrap of porno in fields" generation until the early internet when it was pictures on elephantlist or a 7 second video downloaded from kazaa in 6 hours on a loop.

Can't imagine being 14 or 15 and having access to the range of stuff out there now.

In all fairness, at the age of 14-15 the material was already there. I remember waiting for the teacher to pop out of the classroom and we'd head over to Lycos and watch a gang of men hold a woman up, shake up a champagne bottle and put it in her muff and take it in turns to get sprayed in the face. At the time it was the funniest thing ever now I just think it's a waste of Moet.

Pretty sure my search history back then was something like

> "women champagne xxx"

> "weird or wierd spelling"

> "answers to it exam"

> "miniclip pool"

I remember that video

There's no comparison to the accessibility and ease of obtaining it now though is there?

Porn hub has 1506 videos from the search "woman champagne" and I can watch them instantly and have algorithms suggest videos that might take my fancy

It was a great video. One of the ages really. I love how you've tried to find it again.

As for the ease of obtaining then vs. now, well first of all technology has enhanced. You needed to connect a USB webcam back in those days and sometimes even a microphone as the audio was pretty gash. Plus, you were always a moment away from yer ma picking up the phone and disconnecting everything. It was impossible to watch porn as a kid as the parental control was dominated by whether yer ma wanted to have a 2 hour gab with her mate from work about what just happened on Corrie.

My heads spinning just reading that

to make it really simple Cath, get yerself a vpn sub. put it on your phone and laptop, and make sure it is always connected.

It will increase your internet security and privacy, which for the pervs means they can continue to access smut, but for the more discerning browser such as yourself, it cuts down on chances of being hacked via a man in the middle attack, stops your ISP monitoring what you are viewing and scraping your data to advertise products to you.

Also get off google and on to duckduckgo - uses very similar algorithms, but again doesn't scrape your data in an attempt to build a profile on your life, test out their browser if you have an ios or android phone, it comes with a button to burn through your cache (all the cookies sites drop on your device so they can track what you are looking at) so when you go searching for flights or something to buy, you are not getting results based on your profile, you are getting raw search results.

oh, and try brave browser, built on the chromium engine (same underlying software as chrome) but again none of the nasty tracking or data scraping, it also tells you what the evil bastards on each site are trying to take from you data wise.

and if you can use apple they seem to have a lot more respect for privacy and personal data sovereignty than a lot of the other big tech players.

Absolutely. I'm not against censorship on the internet of any description, but porn is not great for mental health. I fear for the internet generation.

When you're spending 2 hours plus wanking yourself silly to pictures of women your wife\girlfriend can't hope to compete with (while they are upstairs sleeping) for your daily dopamine hit, and it's shaping your desires and actions in bed then you've got a problem. Porn is progressive, boundaries erode, dopamine takes control and your relationship goes down the pan.

I used to stay up all night watching porn. It seriously affected my life. Then I discovered SAA and a Sex Psychotherapist and my life has turned around.

Fuck, was that you?

Sorry, mate. It was only meant to be a wee joke.

My ex's Mum was a sex psychotherapist, some of the pictures she had in books in her house put me off sex for minutes. Massive rotten fannies & all that.
