Tell you what, it shows how far we've come under Klopp. We've not had to fight or scrap to get into Europe, worried if we're going to make it from our current position of 8th, knowing that we've got almost no chance. We are nice and comfy inside the top four, money will be in the bank.

The Echo did an article on tye Champions League money and coefficients. We go into pot 2 next season rather than 3 which gave us such a hard group. If we can win the trophy or the league we get put in pot 1. 

 

We will get a better share of the revenue next season as we have finished higher in the league.

 

Last year when we got to the semi final we had earned the same as Chelsea who went out in the group stages. They earned more than us as they were Champions and we finished fourth. We ended up with about €82m.

 

The money has increased this year to keep the bigger clubs happier (and richer).

 

If we get to the final this year we get €116m and then prize money on top for winning it. 

 

Basically you are completely fucked without the CL money and your rivals moving away from you.
