Videoing on my phone doesn’t do it justice. The flashing as it changes from one colour to another looks all crappy when you play it back. It’s the absolute dogs bollocks though. I keep catching my missus taking admiring glances at it and she’s been sending videos to her mates. Boss.

Problem now is, despite having no interest, I have seen the above photos and it has become a must have.

Yeah, the novelty has worn off a bit mate. It’s not helped by the fact it doesn’t go dark until pretty late at the minute and my living room blinds are about as far away from blackout as you can get. The telly is right next to the french doors which again doesn’t help. There’s a few things I’ve purposely waited until late to watch because of how good they look with the lighting, like Blue Planet II and that Brian Cox planets documentary but I’ll be back to marvelling at it full time once summer is out of the way. 

 

Still delighted I bought it. I got £125 for my old telly and it’s a massive upgrade which has essentially only cost me about £280. There are definitely worse ways I could have spent that money.

Philips Hue have now added a HDMI Sync box, expensive £230 but seems to do everything required via an app or voice control and works with all Hue bulbs.

I love the hue lights on my phillips tv but the TV itself isn't the best. It's 4k doesn't measure up to other 4K tvs. I've got a hisense in the office that's 4k and even that's quality is better than the phillips.
