Thanks for the ideas. Think I've decided to cycle the Leeds - Liverpool canal. Relatively flat, beautiful countryside and shitloads of pubs.

Great shout mate. Ferry Tavern near Widnes is on the route and its a fucking lovely little boozer. Take Spike Island in for some Stone Roses nostalgia and I'll see you at ours about 9 x
