I reckon the debut should be 85 as well. 

They have to have played for one of the clubs listed. Thats part of the point of it. They don't have to have played over 100 games for any clubs but it will go down to the club they played the most for. If they have more than one in the list that they played over 100 for then both teams (and points) count. 

 

For example (and I am using him as the most obvious choice) if you picked C. Ronaldo it would cost you 10 points and both Man Utd and Real Madrid as options for a player. 

 

Make sense?

You choose the team and whatever that teams relevant points are.

You will need to make the allowance higher than 30 points? I would say at least 40?

I think the club he’s got the most appearances for would count. So if he had 50 games for Valencia and 45 for Barca he counts as Valencia only?

 

I think 30 points is dead low as well. Be hard making that without some dross in your team. I’ve had to discount about ten boss picks as well cos they made their debut in 88 or 89.

Its only if they have played over 100 games for more than 1 club that both clubs become part of the points tally and are eliminated. Other than that its the club in the draft selections I chose that count. 

 

I'm happy to make it 35 points, 40 is too high. I was originally going to go with 23 ! 

 

I'll do the rules thread in the snooker interval. Last frame just started before it.

Go with 30. I had Joe Allen as captain in the last one. It should be hard with some shite thrown in

35 is a decent compromise. For every five point player you’ll need a one point player to compensate.

Ignore the 100 games rule from before altogether. You just lose the team they have made most appearances for.
