When I saw you for the first time (first time)

My knees began to quiver (quiver)

And I got a funny feeling (feeling)

In my kidneys and my liver (digestive system baby)

My hands they started shakin' (shakin')

My heart began a-thumpin' (boom, boom, boom)

My breakfast left my body (huey, huey, huey

Now darling tell me something

Why do you make me tongue tied (tongue tied)

tongue tied

Whenever you are near me? (near me)

Tied tongue (tied tongue)

Tied tongue (tied tongue)

Whenever you're in town

You make me feel a clown, girl

Yes, you make me tongue-tongue (tied-tied)

tongue tied

Why can't I tell you clearly? (clearly)

Tied-tied, tongue-tongue (tongue tied, tongue tied)

Whenever you're around

I saw you 'cross the dance floor (dancin')

I thought of birds and bees (reproductive system baby)

But when I tried to speak to ya (talk, talk)

My tongue unravelled to my knees (flippety-flippety-flop)

I tried to say "I love you" (love you)

But it came out kind of wrong, girl (wrong girl)

It sounded like "Nunubididoo" (tongue tied)

Nuh-mur-nuh-murh-ni-nong-nurl

That's 'cause you make me tongue tied (tongue tied)

tongue tied

Whenever you are near me(near me)

I'm nurmy-murmy (nurmy-murmy)

Murmy-nurmy (nurmy-murmy)

Whenever you're in town (in town)

My trousers they go brown, girl

Yes, you make me nongy-nangy (nangy-nongy)

tongue tied

Why can't I tell you clearly? (clearly)

Be-dobby-durgle (dobby-durgle)

Tongue tied (tongue tied)

Whenever you're around

Oh, I'm beggin' on my knees

Sweet, sweet darling, listen please

Understand me when I say

Gedurble-diggle-doggle-niggle-foggle-nibble-nay

I'm trying to say I'm tongue tied (tongue tied)

tongue tied

Whenever you are near me (really)

I'm nurmy-murmy (nurmy-murmy)

Murmy-nurmy (murmy-nurmy)

Whenever you're in town (in town)

I drool so much I drown, girl

Yes, you make me nongy-nangy (nangy-nongy)

ningy-nongy

Why can't I tell you clearly (clearly)

Ge-dobby-durgle (dobby-durgle)

Durgle-dobby (durgle-dobby)

Whenever you're around (around)

Whenever you're around, girl

If you've got cable, the first two series are on tv on demand.

The one with the intelligent virus was brilliant, Kochanski was in it too.

and the pleasure GELF where they meet their perfect mate, and Cats is himself, genius!

BTW what happened to the film? I't's been in post production for about 3 years.

Ahhh it's all coming back to me now, Backward world, when Cat goes for a shite at the end, fucking hilarious!

The replacement Kochanski was crap too, nowhere near as fit as Claire Grogan.

No way, Im not having that, Claire Grogan was a little rat compared to Chloe Annet.

Great user name though mate.

One word: Queeg. Best episode ever.

Is right. Queeg is fantastic.

Suffice it to say that Red Dwarf is one of the best sitcoms of all time, brilliantly written in the early days when its strength were the scrips, rather than the reliance on special effects and daft locations in the latter days.

Series 1 and 2 were brilliant, if they were albums you would have said that they had that raw, underproduced edge and they rocked.

I liked series 4 aswell, Dimension Jump was cracking, as was Back To reality from series 5.....it all got a bit daft in series 6 and the jokes got abit tired and repetitive, but the last series was back on form...Krytie TV was a great episode.

i always remember the one where they wipe their memories. Funny shit that, Lister and Cat wake up with casts on their legs. Quality.

Nu-uh, you could imagine Claire Grogan being Lister's ideal girl while the replacement was an up her self sloan ranger.

Not that I'd of said no to her, just to make that clear...

Big fan of your user name too, Berger was by far my favourite player while he was with us.

Well in mush, Il have that....the later Kochanski was too 'out of reach' for a bum like Lister, as you say, Claire Grogan was more of his fantasy bird, but still out of his league. I would rather poke Chloe Annet mesel' like.

Berger was one of my favourite players aswell mate, there was no better sight in the late 90s than Berger running at defences and pinging in shots from 25 yards with that left foot....(chuffinell FF on the GF...I apologise).

Vim Fuego was ace, Bad News/Tour was cracking, still makes me laugh to this day, the bit in the Indian restaurant when they reform and sup 100 pints of lager (and 4 poppadums) was ace.

  • 1 month later...

Not being its greatest fan but liked it all the same especially the era of "so what is it?" white hole etc, I'm tempted to start watching them from the beginning again.

1) Should I?

2) If answered no to 1) then list me the series order of greatness.

I care.

Here's the answer to the second question, just in case:-

2,3,1,4,5,6 don't know about 7 and 8. Best just to watch them in numerical order though as there is a general overall story.

Aw bless.

Seeing as the droid was the only one to bother ordering them, Id concur with his thinking of 2 as best, but you might as well watch them in order.
