No mate. Sorry. it was a reaction to things I was reading on Twitter.

Ah, fair enough. Doing all I can to avoid all social media platforms in lieu of the shite people are inevitably spouting.

I remember watching 9/11 and thinking it was like a film, surreal just crazy.

Not watched and won’t watch the tape, but it literally sounds like watching one of those first person shooters with great graphics. I used to worry about my kids growing up in this world, I dread it for their kids if they have any.

My mate had been in an all day session in Wetherspoons when they had no tv's got home and told his brother turn off the shit film when he got in . Only then realised it was real

What are the gun laws like in NZ? How has someone come in from another country and got hold of rifles like that?

As an Australian citizen, he had free access to New Zealand, w/o visa or passport. Also, he had a ‘base’ here, in Dunedin. A house where he used to live.

Essentially, he would have entered undetected (no history) and ‘acquired’ the armory once here.

Can you please add the fact that he was/is a cunt into that as well? Cheers.

The massive cunt came and went freely.

Also, just to confirm, we have very LOOSE gun laws here - not tight at all - as has been proven on more than one occasion.

Aotearoa, my home for 45 years, has slowly morphed from an island paradise, into a confused, polarised, selfish, violent sick society, in less than two decades.

like the rest of the planet, we’re descending into chaos, slowly and surely.

cunting chaos (just for you)

Like the beheading clips, why the fuck would you watch that.  The poor fuckers in the police who have to watch child porn in order to convict kiddy fiddlers must be fucked up int he end.

There’s online moderators for Facebook and Twitter who actually just review the worst videos all day. They only allow them to do it on a rotation basis, because you get desensitised and go a bit wobbly, apparently.

Me and my son had a 30 minute discussion about this last night. He had seen the video (16 year olds pass this shit around these days), and was disgusted by it. He is fairly desensitised to this sort of thing generally, and is pretty mature for his age, being able to distinguish between internet culture and reality, but this one really got to him. He raised the subject and the anted to talk about it (which isn’t his normal style at all), so we had a good chat about what motivates people to do these things, what the correct response is (his first response was... shouldn’t he just be put to death. I said he deserves it, but  explained that most civilised countries don’t want to kill their civilians and why incarceration is a better punishment. I’m not sure I even agreed with myself). We spoke about politics behind it and how you can be radicalised. A lot of the points he raised were really mature and you could tell that for all the anti-Muslim hatred online, the video showed innocent humans being slaughtered and that No matter how much you disagree with their view, violence isn’t the way to change their mind. One thing that really disturbed him was both the coldness the killer showed and the fact he had written stuff on his weapons.

Fuck knows what kids over the country are thinking these days. If killings like this happened when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, I sure as fuck didn’t hear about them. Now it’s an regular occurrence somewhere, with it being shared all over the place. Extreme violence might not have gone up, or it might have, but the visibility of it has increased dramatically.

I watched it last night and it's sickening and disturbing but I think people should see it for this very reason. It shouldn't be on the loop in the 24 hour news but it should be available for everyone to watch it once. If it doesn't shock you or make you cry or want to do something to prevent this then fuck you. Cunts who would be inspired by this have already seen it anyway.

What actually shocked me the most was the feeling that this guy is a digital native doing this as an extension, part of activity on the forum or social media, with all these memes, lettering, life streaming, the manifesto deliberately written in places to confuse and troll, along the lines of what the article on Bellingcat (linked at the BBC news) argues. You can easily imagine the pleasure he derives from the knowledge some people are watching this live and thinking he probably just edited in some recording from a video game and then their realisation he is actually killing real people. The fact how he acts almost as if he is just providing great material for his Internet buddies, likes and lols and rep points. As if there is group of people who no longer distinguish between digital and their place in it and reality.

This was, to me, equally disturbing as the act, the ideology behind it, its consequences.

Needs to work on that left hook. He’s not starting from a deep enough position and he’s losing a lot of power. The kids only a skinny little runt so he really should be putting him down if he’s doing it properly.

As for the egging, why bother? Anning has already made himself look s bellend. Don’t give him an excuse to play the victim.

Yeah, but if you don’t let Hades be a racist misogynist then Boss will have to murder a load of black women and you’ll only have yourself to blame.

I shouldn't laugh, but...

Yeah. The whole 'white' thing is really weird. Can we stop making everything about race and skin colour.

I've got to be honest, if some cunt egged me I'd react with a punch too. He's clearly an abhorrent cunt, but egging isn't going to change a fucking thing.
