I love The Jackson 5, Off The Wall & Thriller & will still listen to them from time to time.

I'm not 100% convinced by that documentary either, I mean I think he was very fucked up inside & it looks horrific on the surface of it but it all seems a bit money orientated to me & some of the other kids are disputing it pretty strongly. It's a head scratcher.

Are they getting paid though? It would take a lot of money for me to go on telly and admit to noshing a fella off when I was seven years old. I’m talking at least a four figure sum.

I'm willing to start a gofundme page to get this campaign off the ground.

I would wager that they were well compensated for appearing in the documentary. Not that it necessarily means they're lying but the whole thing stinks.

Edit - just seen Moof's post, fair enough.

I don't think they received any money for the documentary, but it's being mooted that the allegations will form the basis of them suing his estate. That has the potential to be massive.

Good. I hope any and all other victims come forward and are compensated, at least in part, for the trauma he caused them.

I agree with the sentiment, but I'm somewhat uneasy with justice so routinely being meted out in monetary measures. It underlies why so few victims are believed in a litigious society.

Aye. It sucks. Broadly agree, although not sure I would characterise it as routine, most victims of sexual abuse never experience anything close to justice. The culture of smearing victims as money-grubbers is pervasive and should always be challenged, I just hope they can live as comfortable a life as possible, as small recompense for the shit they’ve had to endure.
