Good move if he was the one who suggested Van Dijk.

Anyway, we'll all be on here lauding him when they take points off Manchester City.

I'll be sure to confirm that I never doubted him.

Couple Brendan's defensive tactical nous with Maguire who currently stands around the D with his hands out in a wtf pose (with a gobshite look on his face)  and I come up with less optimism than yourself. Fairly sure we will not have to laud him.

“For me, it is similar to when I went into Liverpool, I had seen Luis Suarez and Luis made the pivotal player of the frontline. The team then followed and I look at Jamie in a similar aspect."

So he's suggesting he'll build the team around Vardy, as he correctly did with Suarez at Liverpool? Makes sense.

he can compare Vardy to Messi for all i care as long as Leicester beat city

He may have mixed feelings about Liverpool, maybe not. Managing the club is still the biggest job he's ever had and he took the reds to the brink of glory.

I daresay he'll have his players well up for it not so much for the Liverpool angle, but City are the ones who prevented him winning the league...whilst under investigation for dodgy finances too.

Hopefully he still thinks fondly of Liverpool. If he gets a result here, Liverpool will think more fondly of him!
