Ridiculous that a club the size of Celtic would agree to let the manager leave at this stage of the season. How much are they getting for him?

Can only assume the board have nabbed a extra couple of million from Leicester from it. The Celtic seems to be a right bunch of chances knowing there's no challenge up there

Not shocking really though. How would we react if a manager walked out with two months left of the season to take over a team that's going to finish middle of the pack no matter what.

I'd be pissed off, but I'd rationalise he had us winning 3 trebles in 3 years and not go as far as to call him a "rat" and say he's "a disgrace to the club" and disown all his accomplishments.

And if he doesn't do well...I'm not sure where he goes. He's not a pragmatist in the Allardyce mould, so he won't be firefighting at struggling clubs. He'll need somewhere that'll indulge him in his 'vision'. And there ain't too many of those around. It's a big gamble, all right.

He's on the managers conveyor belt gravy train. It'll take another three clubs to sack him before the penny drops that he's a fucking chancer.

I would be truely fucked off

Celtic should be winning every trophy in Scotland every year especially over the past few years with the state of the league since Rangers demise. As soon as challengers are coming he's off.

That's easier said than done.

To be fair, Rangers are 8 points adrift of Celtic, so they’ve not really challenged this season and there’s no guarantee they will next season. Rodgers was always going to want to return to the Premier League and now he has the opportunity to do so. Not waiting until the summer is arl arse but Celtic are obviously happy to take the money or else they wouldn’t have given him permission to speak to Leicester.
