Thinking about this game, Ive been of the opinion that Id take a draw. I mean after all, that's the Liverpool way isnt it? Play it safe, settle for the lesser prize of a point instead of 3, the same as prioritising a cup win ahead of the title because we havent been good enough to mount regular, credible title challenges and any trophy will do.

If we dont win the league, city will win it having lost 4 times, presuming they dont lose again. If spurs, heavens above, by some freak win it, they will have lost 6 times. In contrast, we'd have lost at least once. That's what 3 points for a win does. It's the old lose one, win one gets you more points than 2 draws. We've drawn 5 so far. Interestingly, spurs havent drawn 1 in the league so far.

At the back of my mind, the thought of 1 point against the mancs will do but, I really think it is shit or bust time. The win would surely give us a massive boost. It also sends a message to both city and spurs. Conversely, the draw and point while still maintaining the lead would give city and spurs a boost. Obviously a defeat would be a massive blow for us just as it was at city.

Ive come to the conclusion we need to go eyeballs out and win this. It is shit or bust time and we should go for it instead of thinking a point will do.

No it won't - it is by far the toughest tie any of the top three will play from here out ( I dont expect Spurs will get anything at City and United will be more up for us than the Manc derby - go there and get a point we are still in command -- lose and it is out of our hands

Been saying that for over 35 years and I think I've seen us win there against them 5, maybe 6 times.

The worst thing abar having a bogey team, is having a bogey team that is your biggest rival.

They've been much better than us for the majority of that period, so it stands to reason that our wins at their ground have been limited. This time we're playing there at the perfect moment.

Done the .Net bit and its actually 7 times since 1980. So no, because they were wank in the 80's.

The way the league is this year is a bit bizarre. A team that has only lost one game should be about 6-8 points clear of a team who've lost three or four and a team who've lost six games(Spurs) shouldn't even be in the running for a european place let alone the title. We might as well have lost half of our drawn games and won the rest.

Wow Sky Sports are in Manc overdrive.

You would think it was them going for the title all they are going on about it how good Old and Pogba is only mention of Liverpool is a snippet of Klopp interview saying he should get the job.

Hopefully that should work in our favour.

I'm switching it on bang on kick off, missing the half time analysis and then switching off at full time. Can't be doing with all the shite churned out either side of it.

My missus was in labour back in 2009, we made our way to the Womens Hospital not long after our game against them finished 4-1, then came the arrival of my son. What a day.
