What the fuck is that ? It’s the end of days, we’re like the Romans. We had our chance and descended into depravity. First beans on a fry up now grapes in a pie. We deserve whatever is coming to us.

Fortunately, you can only get your hands on one if you have a time machine and can travel back to the eighties.

There’s a lot wrong with this, not least the outrageous claim that it serves two. A pie of this size is clearly only sufficient for one person and even then it would need a healthy portion of chips on the side.

This particular pie should be served to nobody, unless you consider inanimate objects to be people; e.g. the bin.

I love a good pie, steak, steak & ale, meat & potato, any of those.

Steak & kidney is puke inducing fucking vile. Offal has no place on a dinner plate for humans.

If anybody ever finds themselves in Wigan, try Galloways. They're a Wigan bakery with a few shops. Their pies are unreal. Proper deep fill with no airspace, just chock full of filling.

Their deep fill steak pie is immense, just full of meat and absolutely lovely.

If there's one thing you can say about Wiganers, it's they know how to make a pie.

About the only thing really.

If there's two things you can say it's that they're as dense as those pies...

When I was a kid, a regular tea was a Pukka steak and kidney pie with a ton of Heinz vegetable soup poured over the top. Tasty.

That's just wrong.

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. That said, I’ve not eaten it for 40 years now.

Hardly surprising.
