I can’t see a title win from here - it’s less the dropped points and more the fact that the team looks shattered and the squad non-existent. I make Spurs slight favourites for second given they’ve a much stronger squad and more home games, but whatever the position, it would be a real achievement to finish within single digits of City given all they have at their disposal.

 

It could have been more, but the decision not to strengthen and instead intentionally weaken the squad in January was, I think, one we all knew Klopp had gotten dramatically wrong. It’s up there with the most bizarre managerial howlers. He deserves a great amount of credit for the first half of the season and will have to own the criticism if we end it empty handed.
