Thanks for this top post. Why did Ejaria leave Rangers out of nowhere ?

I think he liked it other than his own fans racially abusing him.

And the weather was probably shite.

And the food

I literally just read somebody in this thread say that VVD didn’t transform our defence. Wow.

I think it's true. We didn't have a defence before him so he created it. Along with Allison of course.

I still see people moaning about losing African players in January even though the Nations cup was moved to the summer and it's been widely reported for over a year.

Yeah, but we'll really struggle without them in January. I wish they'd fuck the Nations Cup of African Cup of Nations off completely...

De Gea has reportedly turned down a massive new contract to stay at United. Pogba and him looking for the exit door.

Ah, Mr Solskjær, come in, come in. You are most welcome to our humble emporium. Tea? Coffee? Something stronger perhaps? Please browse our collection of treasure. We happen to have two goalkeepers in stock, one of whom is a Champion’s League finalist no less....

Shame about Brandt but think he always preferred staying in Germany. Sancho will probably be off after next season, so pretty smart planning from Dortmund as usual.

Hope the Pepe soundbites are true, even though I haven't seen anything myself. He's never hidden he's a huge Chelsea fan though, probably because of Drogba.

    • Simon Mignolet is attracting a deal of interest by Liverpool's Premier League rivals but it has emerged that the Reds are just as keen to retain the Belgian goalkeeper.

The Mirror reports that Crystal Palace and Brighton are interested in signing the 31 year-old Belgian for a transfer fee in the range of £8 million.

However a different report from ESPN says that valuation falls short of their own and in any case, the club is determined to keep the veteran who they view as a fantastic influence in the dressing room.

James Milner said as much in April "It's incredible how he is around the training ground, he has the best attitude I've ever seen in my life."

It is that sort of high praise which is echoed across the club with Jurgen Klopp, goalkeeping coach John Achterberg, the rest of the backroom team and the playing squad wanting Mignolet to extend his six-year stay with the club.

It is also believed that sporting director Michael Edwards has not actually put a fee on Mignolet as he does not foresee a sale taking place.

Mignolet who has another two years to run on his current deal ,was signed from Sunderland in 2013 and has made over 150 appearances in that period.    But he only added two cup appearances to that tally in 2018/9 after the summer signing of Alisson and the Brazilian did not give him a look in with his constant level of exceptional performances.

Liverpool have been linked Alex McCarthy for Southampton in recent weeks to fill the back-up role, but more and more, clubs are very keen on having a couple of senior players on their books to help the younger players coming through as well as the new signings.

In some ways being a number two is one of the toughest in football as you never know if, let alone when your number will be called.

But you cannot buy respect and it seems the Belgian has that in spades.

It remains to be seen what will transpire between now and the end of the transfer window, but it seems a near on certainty that Mig has a place at Liverpool for the foreseeable future if he wants it.

    • "Watched by one and a half billion people worldwide..."   Yeah, right. Who the fuck watches the Commonwealth Games? Why does it even exist anymore?
    • Centre backs are harder to profile statistically and this is based on limited minutes but it's obvious what Edwards and the laptop nerds see in him:     That would look pretty solid if you were talking about a 26-year old. From a 17-year old, it's ... *drools*
    • Hopefully Spurs are not really our business this upcoming season but still, I am definitely NOT a fan of seeing Spurs fix the biggest problem in their squad with the best available player to do it with. Ndombele is seriously good.   Plus it means Lyon will definitely hang on to Aouar until next season at the very least. He is going to cost us an arm and a leg when we eventually go to pry him away from them.
    • Looks like it. Hopefully helps those useless cunts take points off City.
