Lallana will get injured and spend 3 quarters of the season out, the other quarter getting his fitness back. If someone would pay money for him we should sell him. He's on 110 grand a week and barely plays.

Lovren is on the same and has never played more than 6 games in a row for years. Hoever or Sepp can cover centre back.

If we were using the money to buy ready-made replacements I would agree to some extent but having been told constantly this is not the case I am not sure why a Liverpool fan facing a potential centre-half issue would rather see us using 2 teenage lads who might be at PEC Zwolle in 2 years time rather than a guy who was our best player in a CL Final and played in the WC Final last season.

Agree about Lallana.

17 year olds is absolutely not an option at CB imo. Fabinho would be a far better option, even if it obviously weakens our midfield.

This is from the Telegraph. Spurs can forget Fernandes as he’s coming to us.

Fernandes always has been and is about his agent using our name to get his player into the media.

He's scored some great goals and there are some who think his finishing is a legitimate repeatable talent (rather than mostly luck) but if you think Klopp and Edwards are going to bring in a central midfield player with a SEVENTY-TWO PERCENT pass completion rate you are mental. I just went through all our AMs for the past 5 years and the only one we've ever had with anything near that poor a passing season was Luis Alberto before we bought him.

Edwards would probably take one look at his shot map and just instantly sack whoever proposed buying him. It will never happen.

It says it all no one has actually been in for him. The BBC journalist with United connections has said they were never in for him. Spurs were linked only to put pressure on Betis to sell them Lo Celso. His agent has been parading him around all summer. You can tell no one thinks he'd be good value for what he would cost.

I haven't seen loads of him, but he looks like the classic Youtube player that scores a billion long shots into the top corner against the like of Vitoria Guimares and then when you watch one of his games for Portugal, he barely touches the ball.

That Bruno Fernandes thing, you wonder if we have earmarked a midfield signing already and need to keep our powder dry for next season.

Kai Havertz is better than Fernandes, is younger, is German, is going to move on from Leverkeusen next year.

This time next year we will likely be considering the future of midfield, as we don't seem to have young talent coming through in that position. We'll also probably be moving Lallana and Milner on, or close to.

I think Havertz is a massive target for us.  If Grujic puts in a good season in the Bundesliga we might even get away with player plus cash.

I think Klopp is interested in doing something in midfield.  There were those Rabiot links, and then the Fernandes links, neither player compares to this lad.

Obviously Bayern and Dortmund will be heavily into him.

No one at the club rates Wilson highly. It's the same situation as the Clyne loan last January. People were freaking out because we were supposedly losing depth except like with Clyne, Wilson would be a last resort who would barely play because he doesn't fit in anywhere and doesn't match with the way we play. We're not losing anything.

For context - @BilelGhazi  was the first to report Neymar's desire to leave PSG & the club's willingness to sell him to Barcelona this summer. One of L'Équipe's lead transfer reporters.

Absolutely no chance.

He’s coming home and Mane has already agreed to take the number 67 shirt to make way for him.
