The top German players all want to stay in Germany, always have. There are probably only a handful now out of Germany. Sane (he will be back in Germany next season) and Gundogan picking up stacks of oil dough -- who else?

Apart from the late 80s/ early 90s when Italy had all the best players.

Matthaus, Brehme and Klinsmann at Inter Milan.

Jurgen Kohler at Juventus.

Haessler at Roma.  Thomas Doll (the token East German) at Lazio.

Campionato! Di Calcio! Italianooooo!

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Ozil? I should have.

We are up to about 15 in the last 40 years - get yours in fellas

I think we have enough to confidently state that Germans are a bit more likely travellers than the English, and Italians who are probably the most insular stay homes.

But they're not up there with the French, Spanish and Dutch as traditional European migrant workers.  The Belgians have been spreading their wings widely of late too, obviously.  They may have also wanted to previously, but no-one wanted them so they had to stay at home.

Keegan - best player in the world at the time

My 5 a side

Keegan

Charles

Gazza

Rush

Owen

Macca

Linekar

Hargreaves

Sancho

Need a couple defenders and a keeper for an 11

If you're including the Welsh then you can stick Bale in there - back in his left back days.

Des Walker had a crap time at Sampdoria.  You should probably have Platt, who had a great career in Italy.

And don't forget Vinny Samway, Las Palmas legend.
