I've said it before, but Hirving Lozano would be ideal for us. His nickname being Chucky is reason enough.

2 years ago I was touting Robertson, and if the club has listened to me this time last year, de Ligt would have just ended the 1st year of his 2-year loan back to Ajax after signing for us, and we would be lauding the foresight of the transfer committee, so I am a bit disappointed my calls for Lozano haven't gained more traction round here...

I’ve been banging on about him for a while too. And De Ligt. That said, if we get him hopefully he’s a bit better than some of the other ‘out there’ calls you’ve made. How is Albrighton doing, anyway?

Agents VVD and Red Ron...

Virgil van Dijk believes that no matter where Matthijs de Ligt moves this summer, it will be the right decision.

Ajax wonderkid De Ligt, 19, will line up alongside the Liverpool centre-back when Holland face England in the UEFA Nations League semi-final on Thursday night with speculation continuing to mount over his future.

The teenager is coming off the back of a sensational season in his homeland, where he captained the Amsterdammers to a domestic double, as well as the Champions League last four.

De Ligt will now leave his boyhood club, and is at the heart of a Europe-wide chase after a switch to Barcelona stalled - although they still remain favourites to land him.

Champions League winners Liverpool are among those to have been linked most recently, with agent Mino Raiola reportedly keen for him to move to either Anfield or Juventus.

Asked about De Ligt as he prepares to face the Three Lions in Guimaraes, Van Dijk was giving away little.

“I think Matthijs is a fantastic player and any decision he makes will be the right one for him.”

Dutch boss Ronald Koeman has also revealed that he has spoken to the teenager about his future.

The ex-Everton boss refused to give anything away however, only declaring that he has no doubt De Ligt’s progression will only go one way.

“His big quality is that he’s only 19 and, at times, he looks like he has the experience of a player who is 25.

“He’s a great professional, really clever. He can improve, of course - and he will be better. Hopefully he can choose a big club because he deserves that.

“I spoke to Matthijs about his future and that [his next club] is secret. The most important thing is to keep playing, getting minutes to develop your football.

“The way a club is playing is also an important decision in your choice.”

Genuinely don’t see how they can afford him or his wages. Maybe his agent just heard ‘a club from Liverpool wants to speak to you’....

Munier is signing for The Purps? Huge if true

Lozano has pretty good skills, real good cross on him and can beat a man to either side w pace or off the dribble (and can play on either wing) -- he is all the rage in Mexico so see a fair bit of coverage. He has played well for the Tri for a few years now, emerged as one of their top players at the WC. After seeing Jimenez at Wolves there is no question he could play well in this league.

He has a little bite to his game and would be really effective off the ball for us.

Final battle by De Ligt

Your agent, Mino Raiola, is auctioning off his client to get the best economic return

The club competes with four clubs, Juventus, United, PSG and Liverpool, to take control of the central

It is a reason to chat in any elevator, terrace or bar counter. It is recurrent theme: every year the summer arrives earlier. With its heat and such. The meteorologists contradict all these street theories with data, but what is the use of the data when everyone agrees? Something similar happens each year as far as the summer market is concerned.

It does not always coincide what is said with what ends up happening. This year is different. The summer has arrived when it has not even finished the spring and De Jong is already Blaugrana, while Jovic is already a new chrome at the Bernabéu . The clubs are forced to accelerate their movements if they do not want to choke on the first coffee of the day reading that the player they asked for yesterday has just committed to one of their rivals. The world turns at great speed and sends who controls the time . It is not just a matter of money. Or if. It depends.

The unknown remains

Matthijs de Ligt is one of those coins pursued in video games by all those who grasp the 'joystick', but, in his case, he goes from exercising as a simple comparsa and has chosen to interact. That the central Ajax has chosen to put himself in the hands of Mino Raiola is a meridian message for anyone who approaches him.

De Jong , despite joining a great friendship, playing in the same team and feel the desire to continue playing together, said enough and, after the mediation of Josep Maria Bartomeu (alerted by the dizzying offer of PSG), he agreed to end speculation and signed for Barça . Frenkie preferred the tranquility that offered to know where he will live from August that the uncertainty of feeling the most coveted piece of an auction.

There is his partner, Matthijs de Ligt , younger, but made of a paste that, although it has a similar texture, is not the same. The central, captain of Ajax with only 19 years, has not cared, advised or feedback with Raiola , continue to force the machine to feel, not only at sport level, that the club that bets for him does it big. The best option

Five suitors

The Dutchman has five great clubs behind him: Juventus , who had him close; PSG , whose offer is dizzying; United , to whom playing the Europa League has options left ; Liverpool , which would surely complete the best pair of centers in the world with Van Dijk , and Barça , which has always maintained a great interest, but is not willing to lose its head, especially after having made an economic effort for De Jong .

It is not strange and, in fact, it is normal that, with these suitors, Mino Raiola has grabbed his client to put him on a pedestal and, two or three phones in hand, ask without stopping, who gives more? The representative, with the permission of his representative, seeks to obtain the best economic performance of the operation and, although most times all interests coincide, in this particular case there are some differences that separate them slightly without ending up alienating them.

Miscellaneous preferences

Manchester United is ruled out for a player who has tasted very closely what the Champions means. There is no problem with Raiola . As does not seem to have it when it comes to saying "no" to the 'Vecchia Signora '. They would be, these, the two teams that less options would have, to this day, to take control of one of the great realities of the Dutch soccer and that, by its youth, not yet it has left the Eredivisie.

From there, three options appear as more likely. For the agent, there would only be two: PSG and Liverpool , since he considers that the Blaugrana offer for his pocket does not meet his requirements. He does what Parisians offer him.

If we are interested you'd think coming to us would be a no-brainer. He'd be playing alongside the world's best defender who just happens to be his international partner as well.

In the bag as far as I'm concerned.  Deserves his own thread.

Think Premier League winning Albrighton has done ok for himself!

We're selling Gomez or Matip if de Ligt is signed. There's no other realistic outcome, which is why we won't sign him as Gomez has signed a new deal and Matip is supposed to follow.

We may currently rotate Matip and Gomez but if they're both firmly behind de Ligt and van Dijk there's no reason for them to stay here.

It's a rumour that makes no sense.
