I've lost count of the number of times we've been 1 or 2 players away from greatness only to end up stagnating and eventually losing players, only to have another rebuild job to look forward to. 

 

This time can be different, and like you said with a little bit of investment they can turn this into a legendary generation of the clubs history.

We've got to get a big trophy on the shelf soon - or the pattern you mention will repeat.

 

If we can become a club players believe they can win things at then we can definitely build a legendary generation - but the longer we go without winning the big prizes the more likely it is we'll repeat the trend of getting close, losing key players and then being in rebuild mode.

Let's wait until the outcome of that shall we, not the first time we have been here with the both of them. Last time it was a fine with the majority of it suspended I don't expect it to be different this time apart from no suspended fine.

 

As for the FA investigation I can see them getting  ban on signing Kids like we did as it related to when they signed Sancho from Watford.
