Venezuela has the largest oil reserves in the world and we know what the US have been like with oil for decades now, yet it's the socialists to blame! The CIA will probably be all over Venezuela doing their shitty fake revolutions and the oil cartels will be hovering around like fucking vultures. The quicker we move over to other forms of energy the better.

Funny how RP can see the CIA everywhere but as I remember didn’t think the Russians ever visited Salisbury (despite the amazing church tower). 

 

I don't see the CIA as everywhere, this is a decades long running thing with Venezuela though and the amount of oil they have just makes me think that they'll definitely be doing something inside the country and they probably have been doing so for a long time. I think it's proven that the US has been backing opposition there too, so the CIA are more likely to be having some involvement if that's the case. When you consider the power that agency has it's not a big stretch to think that they're in quite a lot of places where stupid shit is taking place either.

 

I've never mentioned anything about Russia and Salisbury either until now in this post. Must be someone else you're thinking of.

On a serious note though, the CIA meddle. And they shouldn't. But Maduro/Venezuela seems very different to the likes of Allende and Mossadegh.

 

The country is on its arse. There's a large exodus of people. People are starving. The shops are empty. Little kids have malnutrition. 

 

Maduro is a poor Chavez impersonator. In looks and implementation of the chosen socialist model.

Actually the moral thing to do would be to oppose the dogmatic ideology that has led directly to this catastrophe, and dozens like it.
