For once I actually agree with you. Having solid players behind you can often offer confidence to the attacking players. The main caveat to this though is this is an isolated case and he was a mainstay of our defensive culpabilities under Rodgers when blowing a title. That said,a fully fit Clyne versus TAA, I would favour Clyne myself as I prefer defenders who are best at defending first and foremost.
