Took a look back at Irwin yesterday & crazy to consider he had 12 years at United, won 7 titles.. But didn't join them until he was 25! Similar slow-burning start to his career as Robertson, both joined sleeping giants from 2nd division teams (I don't think Oldham went up until the season after he left?).. Hopefully the simalarities in trajectories don't stop there!

 

Cole is a bit of a different breed -- seems more of a "Continental" type player, whereby he probably had a lot more respect from the rest of the world as being 'one of the greats' than Irwin or Robertson will probably have due to the others' playing style.
