Really tight between Stronts and Tony for me, it's only really the Wildcards that splits them; Magnolia and Shawshank are probably the two strongest, so I've gone for Stronts.

I did wonder if people would rate The Talented Mr Ripley, but I had to have it, as it’s one of my favourite films, not just of the 90s but of all time. Coen Brothers films seem to divide opinion, at least they do on here.

That's fair enough, I had to choose Miller's Crossing for the same reason.

I rate Ripley and Fargo, I just like Shawshank and Magnolia a bit more. There's not really a duff pick in this draft, just a few that'll be more to the taste of some than others.

Went for Tony just ahead of Babb’s and Stronts. Really difficult choice but the fact that I love The Witches just about swung it.

My dad used to have a mobile VHS round circa 1993-1997 so I always had the latest releases (pirated mostly) but The Witches was one we had a master copy of and I’ve always loved it.

That and Leon (fantastic film) and Gladiator. The 1992 boxing film that is starring Cuba Gooding JR and the lad out of Twin Peaks, not the Russel Crowe one.

I’d totally forgotten about Gladiator. Bought it on VHS in the nineties and never got round to watching it. Reckon I’ve owned as many films on VHS/DVD that I’ve never watched as ones that I have!
