Welcome to the new and improved TLW!

Some of you may experience issues logging in and will get an 'incorrect password' error. Don't worry, you haven't typed it in wrong and your password hasn't been changed. You will need to reset it though in order to log in. Click the reset password link and you will receive an email with your new temporary password. Once logged in, you need to choose a new password (or restore to your old one) otherwise you will be locked out again.

If you have an out of date email address linked to your account, then you won't receive the new password. If that's the case then you'll need to email me (dave @liverpoolway.co.uk) or send me a tweet @theliverpoolway and I'll update your password manually.

Any other problems or questions just let me know.

Coutinho has played like Zidane in comparison to Isco this season.

Yeah, he's quite weird Isco. Talented as anybody but every manager at Madrid got tired of him. And then he's rumoured to leave every year but always stays.

Completely stopped running this year. Looks a good stone overweight.

I’m a big fan of Ox, but I’d readily sell all three players to bring Coutinho back.

Hold on, are you saying van Dijk and Alisson should be sold for Coutinho? Or are you talking about three other players?

Talk of him going to Man Utd. They are favourites to sign him if he leaves Barca. Fuck. That.

Nah, I wouldn’t even do straight swap with Van Dijk. Van Dijk is a better defender than Coutinho is an AM.

I was talking about the three players mentioned by Sassas and Howie

Ah, I see the three players are Shaqiri, Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Tough one this, because I think there's a player in Keita, hopefully second season he kicks on. Oxlade-Chamberlain was showing real potential before his injury. Again, hopefully next season he kicks on. Shaqiri has shown good levels so far.

Based on this season, Coutinho for those players would be a good deal. I'm hoping next season we will see those three light up and wherever Coutinho is won't matter. Hopefully.

He'd want 250/300k people, and Barcelona would want at least 100m back, so it isn't happening.

I think our midfield options will look a lot better when Keita gets up to speed, Chamberlain is back, and Henderson and Lallana have left the club.

Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Milner, Chamberlain, Keita, Shaqiri.

think we'd be deadly with him back in the set-up, with the quality been brought in behind him. which wasn't there before.

there has been a definite lack of through ball this year, even though we're doing superb in the league. he's undoubtedly one of the best playmakers in the world- he takes the piss in the Premier League and murders top sides let alone the poor ones.

if those cunts want him, we've got to try and halt that if it's true. we've got the fucking money

... or, if he wants those cunts, he can always fuck off and go there.

No two ways about it, he would be immense in this side right no and is probably just the player we need but its not going to happen. So fuck it off.

They pay 99.99% of his wages and take Markovic off us, then I might consider it.

Which is why I wouldn’t have him back.

Impeccable reasoning.

In what alternate universe would Konchesky help us win the league ? Possibly one were everyone on earth only had one leg apart from him but even then it would be a close call.

This is an incredibly complicated algorithm of self-deprecation and fact-deliverance that only a proper twat would eventually work out.

Which is of course why I have managed to work it out.

    • There are so many examples of modern owners getting it badly, badly wrong. I think for whatever flaws they have they've mostly got it very, very right? We've bought incredibly well over the last couple of years, have a good infrastructure, Jürgen Klopp is our manager. Oh and we're top of the league
    • Guardiola's points totals as manager are:-   2009/10 99 (Barca) 2010/11 96 (Barca) 2011/12 91 (Barca) 2013/14 90 (Bayern) 2014/15 79 (Bayern) 2015/16 88 (Bayern) 2016/17 78 (Man City) 2017/18 100 (Man City)   It is normal for him to get 90+ points, so in that context it is reasonable for us to be a mere four points clear despite an amazing run of form.  It still feels like a massive rip-off, though.
