In actual football terms, Werner would be a brilliant signing.

Takes great shots, quick, decent passer, and the perfect age (about to turn 23). Has improved every season for the past 3 years (from 2.7 to 3.4 to now 4.0 shots/90, from 0.53 to 0.49 to now 0.68 xG/90), basically ready to explode as a world-class player. Could cover us at the #9 and also Mane off the left.

Get him in.

Stand by this, especially since we're now a year since I posted he was ready to explode and he has done exactly that to score 20 league goals so far this season.

So we can gain those 2 dropped points from our last 105?

Fucking hell.

Because we comfortably won everyomr of those games by 3 goals didn't we.

FFS nobody is suggesting changing to 442, but there are times when a different option has been needed(Klopp has thrown Origi on to play up top and dropped Bobby deeper) and this gives a manager options especially as he can play wide.

How did he play tonight?

It was really interesting, actually. He played basically a free role. He was everywhere, going to right back to pick up the ball from deep, then switching to the left wing to play on the shoulder of the defender. Played pretty well except for the finishing.
