Liverpool FC and Klopp are happy to let Captain Turdseye go in this window without a replacement coming in. He is surplus to requirements.

In actual football terms, Werner would be a brilliant signing.

Takes great shots, quick, decent passer, and the perfect age (about to turn 23). Has improved every season for the past 3 years (from 2.7 to 3.4 to now 4.0 shots/90, from 0.53 to 0.49 to now 0.68 xG/90), basically ready to explode as a world-class player. Could cover us at the #9 and also Mane off the left.

Get him in.

Just done a bit more digging on this kid and you’ll be surprised to hear that the Twitter account is linked to the email address paulie.dangerously@yahoo.com

He would be absolutely perfect for us, though. We could definitely do with an attacking signing this month.

Given our defensive injury problems I'd say 'one at the front, one at the back' I'd then send Tony's ma home and recommend we sign a defender and an attacker in this transfer window.

Bayern are the competition here. They've been poorly run in the last few years. Goretzka, Gnabry and Sule aren't good enough. They had free reign to sign De Bruyne, Sane and Firmino (when they played in the Bundesliga) and instead baulked at the fees. Now they've got an ageing squad of stars with very little talent coming through.

The Bayern of old wouldn't be taking punts on players like Hudson Odi, they'd be signing Eden Hazard. It all feels very flat. They need a complete squad overhaul. Werner would be better off here. Our style suits him better. He's got a fantastic chemistry with Keita on the field.

Whilst saying all that, I can't help but feel he'll end up at Bayern. It's such a Bayern thing to do, to get him to run down his contract.

The whole German team were shit in the World Cup, so he's in a lot of exalted company. Its how he fits in at club level playing with the same team mates week in/week out. Albeit it appears Dortmund are in for him now as well.

Timo, I know you’re reading this and I want you to know you’re our only hope. You’re different to the others. You ain’t like those Griezmann and Aubameyang threads I was fucking about with. You’re the real deal. If you’d played tonight instead of Sturridge we could have maybe scraped a draw and everyone would be happy. Just sign the fucking contract, man.
