It’s unfortunately not a particularly relevant competition if you’re challenging on other fronts or in need of points to survive in - putting out a full-strength team or anything close would have been a massive dereliction of duty on Klopp’s part. There’s a reason few Premier League sides pass up a golden opportunity to rest most of their key players at the end of a ridiculously congested period.

 

Unless it’s going to be given extra importance - taking one of the league’s CL spots, for instance, it might just as well be reimagined officially as a reserve or under 23 focused competition where top flight clubs are concerned.

We get a draw like any of the other top teams and this teams more than good enough. We got fucked with a tough draw and players needed a rest. 

 

The same people moaning about the line up will be moaning if we look as dead as we have late in the seasons before under Klopp. Squads still limited in certain areas and if going out tonight means the players are fresh for the league and Bayern next month so be it

We aren't gonna agree and that is fine.
