It would have been an insult if he won it.  He was more than happy to throw one punch and hold Warrington for the rest of the round.

The best bit about all this from Fury is the Wilder fight effectively forced Joshua to come to the States in the first place, while the cuntery of his and Hearn’s bland corporate domination is at least temporarily sidelined.

Even Nas dug out his mate Galahad.

The thing is, he was doing the right thing defensively, made Warrington miss loads but then just threw single shots and held. If he’d countered with combinations and been more offensive then people would have been a bit more accepting of the spoiling tactics.

He made it into a terrible scrap though and people don’t like that.

You need to 'win' the belt from a champion, Galahad did not do that with his constant spoiling. Warrington will be glad he's beat him now so he can move forward as Galahad is high risk, low reward type of fighter. He'll make anyone look bad and isn't the most popular of blokes so won't shift many tickets. Plus he's a cunt.

People hate Joshua on here , but he was fighting guys better than Schwartz in his first 5 fights. Can't believe Fury got away with fighting the 7th ranked German heavyweight ( I can't remember any of the other 6 to be fair ).

Not sure why you were negged for that, sir rog. Schwartz clearly didn’t belong in that ring, although the style with which fury dispatched him was sensational. The rematch with Wilder is gonna be great fun

As I’m a casual watcher of boxing and not an avid fan, I give no credence to Fury’s talent. For me, covering himself in the Stars and Stripes and prancing around like a poodle just makes him a massive knobhead. Proper Blueshite behaviour. I hope Wilder turns up in the rematch pastes him all over the canvas.

Bollocks. He has brought entertainment to what for a long time was the most boring division in boxing. His movement for someone of his size is exceptional. I love him.

That’s before getting into the couple of half glances he takes at the interviewer during the second also, and both that cap and the angle he’s got it at.

Will never fail to make me happy that clip.

    • I made the error of checking the comments on this story on the BBC facebook page regarding this good gesture by our players.   And I literally had to shake my head. The vitriol and abuse our club was receiving for doing a decent thing shouldn't have surprised me but it still did. One idiot even went as far as saying Liverpool shouldn't receive any credit for this because we are at fault for rushing the PL back into resumption, leading to more covid 19 deaths. Mind boggling.
    • I hope that's his Da behind him because that's a slightly odd photograph angle for a man in a pink T-shirt.
    • I was 10 , easy, and still remember the elation when my mum gave in and allowed me to sit up late and watch the games. It will always hold number one spot in my memory. The colours, the excitement, the goals, the superstars. It was a magical time.
    • When they built their massive stand they must have either demolished houses or not given a fuck about the residents having a tin monstrosity overlooking their houses.    They also demolished houses behind the park end.   Liverpool sold back a load of houses behind the Centenary stand so they could be developed by the council and probably gave up the hope of expanding Anfield on that side.    The two sisters who hung on forever in Kemlyn road were offered 4 or 5 times the value of their house before they agreed to move out. All the ones on the other side where the main stand was were either derelict or owned by absent landlords after a pay day.   Not sure why it's the clubs responsibility to develop the whole area, a lack of funding from central government and the council hasn't helped. As said above, have Everton developed Walton or County Road?.   Yes they do good things in the community but loads of it tends to be Big Dunc knocking round at someone house to give them a couple of match tickets.
    • No win situation for the club. If nothing is said you don't care about racism and if you do we'll bring up the skeletons in the closet to undermine the gesture. Social media gonna social media.
