Weird performance from Rivas. Have to assume he was absolutely fucked from putting everything in to the bursts of success he did have.

Obviously being out boxed for huge periods of the fight would have taken its toll, but after putting him down in the 9th he didn't really go after him at all. And he must have known he had to as he was miles behind on the cards.

Whyte was excellent. Think he'd beat Joshua comfortably if they had a rematch.

Fair play to Dillian. That's 10 fights he's won in a row since the Joshua defeat.

He's earned his big pay day so fair play to him.

Ridiculous he has to wait another year for it.

Awesome win for Price, who's also earned another big pay day.

If Hearn wasn't such a cunt trying to get someone else to take Wilder's belt he could have had Whyte vs Joshaua II.

Whyte got offered the fight and about £5m but turned it down. I think he'd have a reasonable chance now as he's improved greatly since their first fight and Joshua could go 'Full David Price' in the manner he reacts to Ruiz twatting him.

Wilder would savagely KO Whyte and Fury would put a boxing clinic on him.

No way Whyte could withstand Wilder's power.

He's been knocked down by Parker and Rivas.

To right he turned it down he wanted a far bigger slice of the money than that.  But of course Hearn and Joshua knew that.

I've just listened to Richard Towers story on Tris Dixon's boxing life stories podcast. It's probably the best podcast interview I've ever heard. It's more true crime than boxing but implore everyone to listen to it as it's fucking brilliant.

You could argue that he was offered a shot at 3 belts, so he can't then moan he's not getting his chance. Once you're the 'Man' you have more sway but if you really want the belts and think you'd win, you'd take the low offer (Which is still £5m, hardly a fucking pittance).

Thinking back he turned it down as it was far to short notice.  Again understandable why he turned it down having built himself up from the first defeat, he wanted a fair crack at it.

It wasn't short notice, the negotiations were before the Miller fight. Originally the plan was Wembley in April against Whyte but because that fell through they then moved forward with AJ's US debut.

I'm not knocking Whyte, I like him but he had a chance to fight for the belts and he turned it down due to money. I'm sick of the rhetoric about him not getting a chance to fight for a belt. The WBC are stitching him up but AJ had the other 3 belts, so it was either fight him or wait for Wilder.

If Ruiz wins the rematch there's a very good chance he'll vacate the WBO belt which Usyk is mandatory for, so him and Whyte will fight for the vacant belt.

It was short notice he said so numerous times in various interviews.

"Insufficient time ahead of the fight being announced for Voluntary Anti Doping Association drug testing, which apparently requires at least 16 weeks to the fight for it to be effective."

Whyte doesn't want the AJ rematch. He viewed Wilder as the easier opponent a d wanted to wait it and and imo him and Hearn where hoping Wilder would vacate or get beat by Ortiz and then make the Ortiz vs Whyte fight in the UK with the winner fighting Joshua.
