An away win would be amazing, as would a draw, really. A defeat wouldn’t be terrible, proving it isn’t a hiding. I’ll be watching Emmerdale and old Easties on UKTV Play. Got the Dempsey and Makepeace DVD boxset for Christmas, too.

It still freaks my nut out that Dempsey and Makepeace are married to each other in real life.

I think a defeat tomorrow would spark a really positive reaction from us.

My bigger worry would would be if we lost a real home banker as I think that may allow for more self doubt to kick in.

I’d argue that a loss tomorrow would raise our intensity level even higher.

Although if we lost a home banker and beat city we'd be looking at being 7 points ahead of them rather than 4.

A half-fit Milner at left-back? Moreno there would be like giving the opposition a two goal start.

Can we send Milner to Mrs. Robertson instead? He will calm everyone down and be fully in control, whilst Robbo would just run around excitedly.

This game won't define the season at all and we don't absolutely need to win it. The only thing that will stink if we lose will be the narrative the media will trot out that we're bottlers. This tweet is spot on for me:

Psychology matters. The result is already determined by fate because there is no free will in this universe. Winning the story is what matters.

Why would psychology matter if there is no free will?

My mistake. Everything is already predetermined, including the psychology. In my opinion, the negative effects of a loss would have a greater psychological impact on us than a City win would have on them.

But given that the psychological impact would have no bearing on future events, either for the clubs or their fans, what difference does it make?
