One for the shiteness of modern football thread, but why anybody who can use a knife and fork without damaging themselves should give a flying fuck what any of those Arsenal TV cretins thinks about anything is completely beyond me.

Well fucking in redmen....well fucking in.

Regardless of what happens fron here on in the lads deserve massive credit for the way they have put this run together and put themselves at the head of a very strong pack of 4/5 teams.

Well fucking in.

I see the twatterati are out in force again after failing to land Salah it is now Mane's turn....I wonder if FA will go and act..?

Cracking last game of 2018 - a year that has seen the club come a long way.

We know that Arsenal still have a soft centre and were short of defensive reinforcements what with one or two having to play without being fully fit, but we still tore them a new arsehole. I was surprised how they looked so disorganised at the back, like they'd turned up without having done their homework.

Fabinho started edgily and gave the ball away on a couple of occasions but once we got into the lead, he settled down and got the better of Torreira in particular, who looked like the lone figure laying sandbags while a tidal wave was approaching. Trent was forced onto the back foot by Iwobi in the early stages but as with Fabinho, he settled and started to get the better of his opponent once we got the lead.

Every one of our other starting XI were fantastic, especially Firmino. He has a great record against these opponents, and today was his best overall display in many a long while. A fortuitous deflection into his path and a trademark no-look finish for his first, almost immediately followed by a great dribble and shot for the second after we won the ball back in dangerous territory. Salah set up Mane for the 3rd before being bundled over and claiming the 4th via the penalty spot. Not the best penalty but it was too hot to handle for Leno. Lovren was shoved over in the box in the second half to give us another penalty and Bobby his hat-trick. That was his first for the club and apparently Robinho and Afonso Alves are the only other Brazilians to net a Premier League hat-trick.

Arsenal are one of the better footballing sides in the division and are bound to pose some sort of threat in the attacking third, so it was expected that they might retain possession now and then. Iwobi forced Alisson into a save, but the big man could do nothing about Maitland-Niles' back post finish after Iwobi played the ball into the box. Thereafter, Arsenal were totally snuffed out as an attacking threat, with a Ramsey blocked effort followed by Aubameyang somehow missing the target on the follow-up the sum total of their threat. Aubameyang was a complete non-factor.

All I ask for before each game is that we end it 3 points better off than when we started the day. Right now, the team is making that happen. It's a cliche but that's all they should be doing, by taking each game as it comes. No need to start thinking too far ahead and getting over-confident. We are in the best place to be, so let's just look to maintain the momentum and make 2019 even more memorable.

Well shearer actually full of praise for us and said Mo’s pen was definitely a pen! Didn’t even bother to discuss the Lovren one! Amazing

Lovren one looked a little soft but there's a shove in the back there, same as last week. Not seen enough of the Arsenal one, would have been soft by the looks of it.

But they can fuck off after the non red for Xhaka
