Nobody played badly for us. Alisson obviously have a bit of an issue. Everyone else was a 7/10 minimum. Made up for Clyne, he never stopped running.

Mane was doing my head in all game but scored and got an assist.  Fabinho was unreal. Robertson would have been man of the match if it wasn’t for his corners.

Fucking brilliant.

It's all falling into place, because we are becoming so good as a TEAM.

Mane misses all those sitters against Napoli, but it doesn't matter because of Alisson's last-minute worldie.

Mane scores when it matters against United... and Allison commits a howler, but it doesn't matter because class comes off the bench and saves us.

It's becoming more and more convincing, this great team ethic, game by game.

It's getting to the stage where it would be bitterly disappointing not to get something really really BIG out of this season.

How come that’s not being referred to as a ‘tactical masterclass’ by Klopp?

Tactical masterclass only applies when a crap team manages to beat a good team by changing their formation. Klopp literally setup the team like he would against cannon fodders, by playing Salah upfront for example, and got the result that he wanted. Calling it a masterclass would flatter United IMO.

And Mourinho went with his standard away formation, 7 at the back, like all Minnows away from home.

Exactly, agreed with everything!

Tells us nothing let’s be honest they were brutal after first 10 mins and the way we played it was over for me. My one concern was clyne he did ok nice to see master tactician Jose giving Robertson our most on form player free reign we were fair to good no more they were pathetic

That’s rubbish.

as poor as they were, they’ve been terrible against us the last two visits as well, and we’ve not beaten them.

fir 15 minutes or so in the second half we were resorting to long shots by Fabinho, Lovren and Van Dijk, so to end up winning shows a level of mental resilience we’ve lacked in the past and a strength in depth from the bench we’ve lacked before too.

That resilience is not just evident in us continuing to be positive and create good chances, after having gone a bit stale; but bigger than that... city had reclaimed top, we’re playing a fixture we struggle in and could’ve settled to be one point off the top this morning, but didn’t.

Shaq is a genuine impact player off the bench in these games, and we’ve needed that for years.

as shit as they were, there’s some real positives for us here.

Don’t be so bothered about reaching the destination that you forget to look outside and enjoy the view along the way.

Hopefully this puts all the stories about Clyne being finished for dodgy behaviour to bed. He was top class and without playing much for over a year, that is some feat to mix it like he hadn't been away.

Trent may have a competitor again, however Trent's freekicks...

The best thing about Alisson’s flap is, just like with the Leicester one, he got his occasional error out the way in a game we still won against mid-table dross.

Yep, plus any thoughts of a swollen head after all the praise from the Napoli game would be gone after an error like that.

Echo the Clyne comments....fair do's to the lad - I was convinced he was done here, and he may well not have a long term future but if he can help us with what is going to be a really tough battle when needed and put in the kind of display he did yesterday then fair do's to the lad and great for us.

Me too. I thought we were in a bit of trouble when he was starting, but he did a proper job yesterday.
