Ronnie's match last night even topped his 1000th ton in the final frame at Preston.  I can't recall such a tense and exciting game possibly since the Davis/Taylor world final.  Mind you it won't be enough to get him onto BBC's sports personality shortlist. Some fucking hop , skip and a jump bronze medalist will just ease him out.

I've been backing him every year for about five years for SPOTY. 50/1 this year... I think he can get on the list tbh, he's a certainty to get on it if he wins the World Championship
