You thought correctly.

Was doing things we really miss in midfield that city do - picking it up with head up, moving forward and looking to play quickly, link things and play into space.

Very encouraging - he starts doing that regular and we are in business

I thought Keita was excellent in the 2nd half

Of the human players tonight (I don't count Alisson because that ridiculous save-and-pitch bordered on other-worldly) Keita was our best player.  So unlucky not to score, I think he had 4 shots on target and probably totaled about 1.0 xG just by himself.

Dare I say it- he'll be like a new signing?

Up to the hour mark, this game seemed destined to go the way of so many others down the years. Alehouse opponents, awful referee, uncohesive starting line-up and a lack of genuine threat all leading to a scrappy goal against from a set piece. Then we did what we have rarely done in the past, settling down and gradually taking the game away from the same alehouse opponents.

Need to wait and see on Gomez's injury but it's unfortunate that his progress has been derailed by a knock again.

By all accounts, Keita had a very good game.

3-1 then, and we are still not letting City get away at the top. They are averaging about a goal a game more than us, defensively both sides are about level, they are being eulogised over their football and being handed the title in December. And yet they could start their next game in second place.

We just need to keep chipping away like we have been doing, although a few barnstorming attacking performances and a glut of goals wouldn't go amiss at some point.

Yeah, looked like the Leipzig Naby from last season. Bodes well.

David Silva and Fernandinho — the crux of that side — have a lot of miles on their legs. Hang in until the second half of the season and see what happens

14 seconds in between Alisson stopping the corner and it ending up in the Burnley net.

Three points. Increased gap between us and the teams below us. The Ev back in their box. And Dychebag’s hopes and dreams shattered.

All in in all a good evening’s work.

I thought we did really well to dig out a win from 1-0 down with the ref recusing himself from the game. We're looking a resilient side this season (except for CL away games) and that starts from the back. Just  hope Gomez is not out long.

Not bad for a completely shite team like

How mad is it that this is true and it isn't good enough to top table?

When you consider our history and the great title winning teams we have had it means that what we have done in these 15 games is very special for it to be a club with our records best - yet we find ourselves hanging on to financially doped, cheating bastards coat tails!

Have we found out what gingers problem with Klopp was or is he simply leaping aboard the Mills and Blooshites bandwagon of envy and bile as he slides towards the premiership trapdoor?

he realizes he is about to go back to being a weatherspoons bouncer when his team are relegated

Aye. It’s hard to stomach alright. But we absolutely can’t fault what the lads are doing right now (a few dodgy European performances aside) it’s fucking unprecedented stuff
